Moses Snake Revision Method

K.C.S.E revision method

Most likely, you have heard the story from Bible of the Bronze snake that Moses put in the desert. When Israelites were bitten by poisonous snakes, they looked up to the bronze snake and were healed.

Similarly, I have developed a revision method based on that idea. This is the first time this method is described. You will not find it anywhere else.

In Moses Snake method, instead of revising for the exam by reading class notes or text books, students revise for K.C.S.E by using K.C.S.E past papers or model question papers. Lets think of questions as the poisonous snakes. When you read the question, you try to answer it, if you fail, you look up for the answer from the class notes or text books. The class notes and text books act like the Bronze snake that Moses had put up in the desert. The class notes and text book are to help you remember the answers or answer the difficult questions.

As they say, practice makes perfect. Repeat questions severally and it will be very easy to remember their answers.

Advantages of this method

  • This method helps the student to learn the structure of exams and way to answer them.
  • This method is good especially after reading all class notes and text books.
  • This method can help a student to time themselves on how fast they can answer questions.

Disadvantages of this method
This method is limited in the sense that it does not follow any syllabus. Students only revise the questions they have. They do not revise all the notes. Therefore, it is advisable to use this method after reading all the class notes and relevant text book.
